Technical Guidance

Ratings are normally given per level as a uniformly distributed load (UDL) and per bay as a total. A bay's total capacity depends on upright height and the distance from the floor to the first beam, so raising beam levels can lower the bay rating. Always follow the load sign issued with your installation.

Share your floor plan, clear height under beams or sprinklers, column positions, pallet or carton size and weight, number of SKUs, forklift model and lift height, plus expected throughput. With these details our team can recommend a system and aisle width in the first review.

Choose selective racking when you have many SKUs and need every pallet accessible. Choose drive-in for few SKUs stored in large quantities. Choose radio shuttle when you want drive-in density but faster, safer handling because forklifts stay out of the lanes.

Operators should report impact damage immediately, and a competent person should inspect the installation at regular intervals, commonly at least once a year. Our 18000 Series Interservice programme covers inspection reports and component replacement.
